Mint – Kentucky Colonel™ Mint
Perfect for light, cool Summer meals. Spearmint is milder and sweeter than peppermint and is perfect in salads or wherever a lighter flavor is desired. KENTUCKY COLONEL™mint plant leaves are excellent for mint juleps, mint sauce and mint jelly.
1 sprig fresh Kentucky Colonel Spearmint (6-8 leaves)
1 tsp. granulated sugar
2 oz. Kentucky bourbon
Lemon-lime seltzer water or soda water
Use a spoon to "muddle" the mint, sugar, and bourbon in the bottom of the glass so the mint leaves are lightly bruised, to release their flavor. Add seltzer or soda water, a twist of lemon and enough crushed ice to fill the glass. Stir well and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint.
