Pleasant View Gardens, one of the country’s top-performing wholesale growers of annuals, perennials, and herbs – most notably Proven Winners® plants – is excited to introduce Scott Parisi as the company’s new Finished Goods Product Manager. Responsible for guiding the direction of the finished goods segment of Pleasant View Gardens’ (PVG) business, Parisi will work closely with all departments within the company to identify new opportunities, programs, and products to help it better serve its customers.
“We’re thrilled to bring such a young talent to our team”, exclaims Pleasant View’s national sales manager, Andy Huntington. “Scott came in the door with some really novel ideas that we think will help us evolve our liner business and even reshape our approach for the future”, continues Huntington.
Beyond identifying new opportunities, programs, and products, Parisi’s role as Finished Goods Product Manager also makes him responsible for uncovering new market trends and unmatched product needs. Additionally, Parisi is tasked with building even stronger relationships with PVG’s retailer customers, developing new package and container offerings, and helping to launch and promote new products.
As a MA-certified horticulturalist and arborist, Parisi’s career began in the early 2000s at Wolf Hill, one of Massachusetts’ premier home and garden centers. Starting as a nursery associate and, based on his passion and work ethic, Parisi was promoted to tree and shrub manager in just three years. And after a few more years of hard work, Parisi earned the position of nursery manager, where he managed Wolf Hill’s live-goods and hard-goods budget of more than $1 million, while also managing 20+ employees. During that time, Parisi gained a great appreciation for the importance of capturing and analyzing relevant data, then using his findings to create new strategic directions and goals for the company.
“Scott’s experience at Wolf Hill provided him the perfect foundation of knowledge on which he can help strengthen our organization and help our customers become even more successful”, finishes Huntington.
