Meet Our Inside Sales Rep, Terasa Asselin

Terasa Asselin, Inside Sales Representative

Terasa has worked at Pleasant View Gardens three years this July. Get to know a little bit about her!

What does your job entail?

I reach out to growers and broker companies with information about our products and programs to help them come up with a plan that will provide the greatest benefit to their customers.

What is a typical day like?

I start my day by checking emails, and then reach out to as many growers and brokers as possible. During the shipping season, I help to educate customers on our new products to order. Then I follow up to ensure material that was ordered has arrived and is in good condition. My territory is everything West of the Mississippi River minus Alaska and Hawaii.

What is the hardest part of your job?

It’s not necessarily difficult, but we have so many great products and programs available, there is a lot to convey to prospects about how we can help them strengthen their business both with the powerful Proven Winners plant brand and all of the other exciting opportunities we offer.

What is a favorite memory from work?

That would be my first visit to Cultivate as I was able to meet my customers face to face for the first time after having only been able to speak to them on the phone.

What is a common question you get from customers?

We have lots of options for shipping our products and saving money on freight. So, the most common thing I address is helping growers determine the best delivery solution for their needs and the greatest discount possible.

What do you like most about your job?

I love developing relationships with my customers and prospects. I work with so many interesting people and honestly some of the nicest I have ever run across. It really makes my job enjoyable.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Hanging out with my family which includes my husband Brian, my sons, Ken age 25 and Jacob age 24, my daughter, Elise age 12, as well as my pets which include a big white husky dog named Falkor after the lucky white dragon in the book Neverending Story, and our kitten named Selen.

What is a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I enjoy making cold process and hot process soap. My favorite is the cold process because it makes a smoother and prettier soap. I am still working on perfecting my hot process soap.
