A Glimpse Into Pleasant View Gardens


To promote the general sales effort at desired price levels to maximize sales revenue and profits. This position will be responsible for all sales and presentations of company products and programs within a specific defined territory. This position will focus on targeting new accounts, increasing existing accounts’ purchases, and working in conjunction with Broker/Distributor Representatives, while promoting both PVG and Proven Winners’ marketing objectives. Nurture and maintain constructive and respectful working relations and communication with all internal components of Pleasant View that are integral to successful sales and order fulfillment. As an integral member of the sales team provide feedback from outside sales activity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop Customer Relationships:

  • Partner with the customers to inquire about their needs, both current and future, at every opportunity
  • Follow-up with customers after shipment to ensure their expectations were exceeded
  • Sell additional products for future shipments
  • Timely phone calls and communication
  • Personal visits to customer sites
  • Travel with broker representatives to customer sites
  • Distribution of product sales information
  • Attend and participate in Trade Shows
  • Keeps conversant with industry trends

Facilitate Internal Company Relationships:

  • Work with all internal Pleasant View personnel/departments to assure optimum success of product sales and delivery.

On Road Sales:

  • 70% of time devoted to on-road sales
  • Targeting accounts and increasing existing customer purchases
  • Personal visits and visits with broker representatives to customer sites

New Customer Development:

  • Cold calls and prospecting
  • Trade Show follow up
  • Referral(s) follow up

Communication and Administrative:

  • Participates as a member of Sales Team
  • Participate in weekly and monthly sales department meetings to provide customer feedback and direction for company
  • Provide pertinent information to appropriate department(s) compiled from on-road activity
  • Bi-weekly reports – contacts, mileage, etc.

Brand Building:

  • Introduce, define, expand and consistently maintain the existence of the Pleasant View and Proven Winners brand in the marketplace
  • Customer education through seminars and presentations
  • Conduct onsite “Proven Winners” Certified Garden Center training

Program Development:

  • Provides direction in liner sales planning
  • Evaluating new market opportunities
  • New product development in conjunction with Sales and Marketing departments

Sales Plan(s):

  • Accountable for implementation of sales plan with minimum of 10% growth
  • Working closely with Top 100 Accounts, and Key/Targeted Broker Reps

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and self-motivation skills required

Education and Experience Requirements:

The Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks including, restocking, pulling materials, delivering inbound materials and recording data.  This position will work closely and effectively communicate with all levels of Shipping as well as other departments (Human Resources, Transportation and Production) and locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Overall Job Functions

  • Receive and verify product
  • Restock hard goods and items in the warehouse
  • Assist in pulling plants, hard goods or tags
  • Delivering inbound shipments to the correct department
  • Prepare outbound items for shipping


Safety and Sanitation

  • Daily clean-up of work area



  • Position requires extreme flexibility regarding hours necessary to successfully meet shipping demands (i.e. weekly hours of 40+ during peak season)

As a full time, CDL A Driver, you’ll join a Logistics Team that is dedicated to excellent customer service by delivering products in a professional and efficient manner.

CDL A Drivers will operate vehicles safely, and keep organized and accurate records. Inform Logistics Coordinator and/or appropriate Pleasant View Gardens (PVG) staff when problems arise; meet personal goals and the business goals of Pleasant View Gardens. Communicate in an effective & professional manner with appropriate PVG staff and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Map out and organize daily delivery routes and follow delivery schedules
  • Safely operate the equipment necessary (cages, load bars, straps, pallet jacks, maps and GPS units) for successful delivery of orders to Pleasant View’s customers
  • Unload trucks when returning from runs; load vehicles when necessary
  • Complete and keep DOT logs, records and run sheets up-to-date
  • Document shortages and discrepancies and provide this information in a timely manner to appropriate logistic team member
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen professional communication with customers

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs for the overall maintenance of the facilities, grounds and equipment at Pleasant View Gardens. You will also address maintenance tasks and responsibilities for the greenhouse operating systems. All tasks are expected to be completed in an organized, timely and cost effective manner. To succeed in this role, you should be a self motivated team player with a positive outlook, solid work ethic and strong communication skills.

Requirements and job responsibilities:

  • General knowledge and exposure to industrial electrical work
  • Ability to construct office and operational areas, from stud walls to drywall
  • Knowledge of plumbing and irrigation systems
  • Exposure to equipment operation and maintenance (forklifts and scissor lifts, etc…)
  • Repair and maintenance of greenhouse facilities
  • Follows OSHA regulation and company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Required to be on a rotating schedule (off hours and/or weekends) to respond to events, emergencies and incidents.
