As a Seasonal Driver at Pleasant View Gardens, you’ll join a Logistics Team that is dedicated to excellent customer service by delivering products in a professional and efficient manner.

Seasonal Drivers will operate vehicles safely, and keep organized and accurate records.  You will inform the Logistics Coordinator and/or appropriate Pleasant View Gardens (PVG) staff when problems arise and work with the team to meet the business goals of Pleasant View Gardens.  Seasonal Drivers are expected to communicate in an effective & professional manner with appropriate PVG staff and customers.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Map out and organize daily delivery routes and follow delivery schedules
  • Safely operate the equipment necessary (cages, load bars, straps, pallet jacks, maps and GPS units) for successful delivery of orders to Pleasant View’s customers
  • Unload trucks when returning from runs; load vehicles when necessary
  • Complete and keep DOT logs, records and run sheets up-to-date
  • Document shortages and discrepancies and provide this information in a timely manner to appropriate logistic team member
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen professional communication with customers



  • Minimum 21 years of age (to drive out-of-state)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Active Medical Card
  • MVR (certified copy – valid within the last 30 days)
  • Pre-Employment Drug Test
  • Pre-Employment Road Test

Pleasant View Gardens, home of Proven Winners®, is on the forefront of cutting edge innovations in floriculture products. Our Research & Development department connects with top industry breeders to identify and grow unique varieties of annuals, perennials, edible and fragrance plants. Our summer internship program will allow students to gain significant experience in variety trials and display garden operations. Interns will learn skills and techniques which will help them improve their understanding of research and development and build a foundation which will benefit them in their careers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Variety Trials:

  • Field Trial Preparation – equipment and safety training, machine assisted pot-filling, container and in-ground field prep, fertilizer and drip irrigation principles
  • Field Trial Installation– plant genera identification, trial labeling, transplanting, establishment-phase growing, field organization
  • Field Trial Maintenance– pest/pathogen/weed management, fertilizer and drip irrigation maintenance, overall crop management techniques
  • Field Trial Evaluation– qualitative analysis of trial codes, photo documentation, greenhouse stock management, virus testing, propagation

Proven Winners® Signature Garden installation and maintenance:

  • Display Garden Preparation – greenhouse growing and organization, crop maintenance, garden layout elements
  • Display Garden Installation – bed prep, planting timeline, transplanting, establishment growing, irrigation solutions
  • Display Garden Maintenance – pest/pathogen/weed management, drip irrigation maintenance, fertilization, pruning, primping
  • Display Garden Showcase – event hosting and customer interaction
    Independent Studies
  • Trial Design– work together with R&D Manager(s) to design trial with specific goals
  • Trial Implementation – establish trial, communicate protocols with pertinent staff, determine critical data points and data collection techniques, collect data
  • Summarize and Present Results – Summarize findings, translate into relevant data, present to pertinent PVG staff in a structured manner that allows for decisions and/or action items based on results

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited University or State College in a Horticulture or Agriculture focused degree (undergraduate or graduate)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge and experience with horticulture/agriculture
  • Excellent skills in organization and communication
  • Demonstrated ability to be punctual and prepared to work
  • General knowledge of greenhouse and field operations a plus
  • Ability to be certified on heavy equipment including forklifts and tractor

Pleasant View Gardens is looking for a Production Team Leader with high energy and the ability or to coordinate the activities of the production crew. You’ll communicate with the Growing Team regularly and train crew members to achieve quality and production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily and weekly planning with production manager to determine the flow and timing of tasks as well as daily goals and process changes.
  • Consult with growing team to establish quality guidelines and crop placement
  • Oversee the productivity of crews, quality and accuracy of work
  • Daily communication with other operations personnel
  • Work as part of the crew when in-between tasks and during off peak seasons
  • Coordinate with growers on ideal locations for plants and activity plans
  • Ensure that daily time sheets have been recorded, collected and processed
  • Ensure that employee job codes are accurate
  • Provide training for production staff to learn all necessary production processes. Teach, coach, correct and reinforce
  • Communicate with the Quality and Inventory Control Dept. regarding plant maintenance requests.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Microsoft office products combined with the ability to learn new software programs (time & attendance software, and PICAS production software)
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet the needs of Pleasant View customers which may include overtime hours, daily and/or weekends.
  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift, golf cart and tractors

Education Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred, but not required.

  • 1-3 years of related crew leader or supervisor experience
