In this position you will provide leadership, direction and support to the R&D team.  You’ll work with R&D, sales, marketing and operations to establish and implement company goals for continuous improvement in plant quality, superior genetics, new product categories and paths to new and existing markets.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of R&D professionals: implement departmental policies, establish weekly planning meetings, prioritize work flow, oversee the R&D budget and provide timely and accurate training.
  • Generate ideas for new products and research feasibility in terms of profitability, resource availability and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the direction for new plant introduction, new plant identification and program development.
  • Lead the product development process through prototyping and pre-production phases, owning the transition from R&D to Marketing and Production.
  • Maintain a continual working knowledge of Operation / Growers needs/wants and feedback
  • Work in tandem with department manages to ensure successful business operations
  • Train employees on hot to apply the new product development process in programs and products.

Pleasant View Gardens is looking for a Production Team Leader with high energy and the ability to coordinate the activities of the production crew. You’ll communicate with the growing team regularly and train crew members to achieve quality and production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily and weekly planning with production manager to determine the flow and timing of tasks as well as daily goals and process changes.
  • Assist leaders with the setup of crews
  • Consult with growing team to establish quality guidelines and crop placement
  • Oversee the productivity of crews, quality and accuracy of work
  • Daily communication with other operations personnel
  • Work as part of the crew when in-between tasks and during off peak seasons
  • Coordinate with growers on ideal locations for plants and activity plans
  • Ensure that daily time sheets have been recorded, collected and processed
  • Ensure that employee job codes are accurate
  • Provide training for production staff to learn all necessary production processes. Teach, coach, correct and reinforce
  • Communicate with the Quality and Inventory Control Dept. regarding plant maintenance requests.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Microsoft office products combined with the ability to learn new software programs (time & attendance software, and PICAS production software)
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines

As a Seasonal Driver at Pleasant View Gardens, you’ll join a Logistics Team that is dedicated to excellent customer service by delivering products in a professional and efficient manner.

Seasonal Drivers will operate vehicles safely, and keep organized and accurate records. Inform Logistics Coordinator and/or appropriate Pleasant View Gardens (PVG) staff when problems arise; meet personal goals and the business goals of Pleasant View Gardens. Communicate in an effective & professional manner with appropriate PVG staff and customers

  • Map out and organize daily delivery routes and follow delivery schedules
  • Safely operate the equipment necessary (cages, load bars, straps, pallet jacks, maps and GPS units) for successful delivery of orders to Pleasant View’s customers
  • Unload trucks when returning from runs; load vehicles when necessary
  • Complete and keep DOT logs, records and run sheets up-to-date
  • Document shortages and discrepancies and provide this information in a timely manner to appropriate logistic team member
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen professional communication with customers

The Pick Up Yard is located in Pembroke, NH.

To ensure the pick-up yard is stocked and prepared for customers. Maintain, stock and price plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.  Assist customers with the loading of purchases made.

Working in the greenhouse and with customers, your overall responsibilities will include:

  • Restock hanging baskets
  • Restock tables with 4.5” and 6.5” trays of plants
  • Proper plant rotation and inventory flow
  • Sales, assisting customers, moving and loading large trees and shrubs
  • Maintain knowledge of product sales and promotions
  • Off-load and set-up from delivery trucks/shipping racks
  • Water plants, trees and shrubs using proper watering techniques and a hose up to 120’ long
  • Ensure all plants stay wet and do not dry out
  • Regular pruning and grooming of plants
  • Take inventory and place price tags on plants
  • Move plants as inventory changes
  • Assist customers with loading and pushing carts of plant material
  • Process payment (cash, check or credit card)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess internet and basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently in a customer service area
  • Nursery/horticultural sales experience preferred

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will interact with all levels of the organization to assist in problem solving and installation of new equipment. You will be responding to tickets, assisting with projects, providing advanced networking support, and helping to support the Windows servers in a Hyper-V environment. The Maintenance Supervisor at Pleasant View Gardens is responsible for leading, guiding and coaching a maintenance team consisting of seven people.  On a daily basis, you will direct the activities of the team as it relates to scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems on equipment, general upkeep and repair and supporting the facilities manager with a variety of projects.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 

Manage maintenance team: 

  • Lead, motivate and develop a collaborative maintenance team.
  • Skills training; work with team members to identify training requirement.
  • Coaching; mentor team members and recommend performance improvement actions as needed
  • Create and implement a schedule to provide on-call emergency service for both the Pembroke and Loudon facility.

General knowledge of the following maintenance activities:

  • Electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building construction and maintenance
  • Greenhouse Facilities/Systems
  • Heating Systems – installation/ service and repair of boiler / burner / heaters and hot water systems
  • General knowledge of wood burning boiler and bio-mass systems.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Operation
  • Grounds Maintenance


  • Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Work with the safety team to create safety policies and procedure
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and identify compliance requirements
  • Conduct tailgate safety training


  • Work with PVG Facilities Manager for availability and use of additional maintenance resources when needed.
  • Keep managers informed of the status of tasks and repairs.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance is kept on schedule.
