Payroll and Benefits Administrator
The Payroll / Benefits Administrator will ensure that our employee’s payroll and benefits are accurately calculated and tracked. Responsibilities include: generating semi-monthly payroll using Paylocity, computing regular/overtime pay, preparing internal and external reports, assisting with onboarding, preparing final pay calculations and COBRA paperwork, fielding and researching employee’s questions and updating associated records. You will also interface with our third-party benefits administrator to help determine and communicate benefit offerings,
Other Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the HRIS and time tracking systems
- Process time off requests according to company policies and procedures
- Coordination of payroll information from all departments for processing including timesheets, PTO requests and bonus/commissions
- Maintain accurate payroll folders in compliance with Federal and State Regulations
- Coordinate and administer benefit enrollments, changes and terminations including, but not limited to, medical, dental, life, accident and disability and flexible spending programs
- Support the administration of the organization’s 401(k) plan
- Assist employees in the completion benefits materials
- Accurately provide needed information for employment verifications and unemployment claims as needed
- Assist the Human Resources Manager in all compliance auditing and reporting as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work on multiple high priority tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of all federal and state regulations pertaining to employee benefits compliance pertinent to payroll and benefits including ERISA, COBRA, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, HIPPA and other applicable regulations
- Ability to meet commitments on a timely basis
- Experience with Paylocity Payroll software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and related job-specific software applications
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
